That&#8217;s normal. <a href=\"https:\/\/droneandcam.com\/en\/post\/best-sd-cards-for-sony-%ce%b11-ii-buying-guide-2\/\">The<\/a> histogram seems technical at first glance, but in practice it&#8217;s mainly a very simple guide to know if your photo is too dark, too bright, or generally well exposed.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The right approach isn&#8217;t to look at it like a lab expert. It&#8217;s simply to use it as a <strong>quick dashboard<\/strong> . Similarly, a photo of snow or a sunny beach will logically have a histogram skewed further to the right. The goal isn&#8217;t to have a perfect curve; the main thing is to check if you&#8217;re losing important details.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to read a histogram without jargon<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can remember this very simple reading:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>curve stuck to the left<\/strong> : your photo is likely to be too dark;<\/li><li><strong>Curve stuck to the right<\/strong> : your highlights are likely to be blown out;<\/li><li><strong>curve cut on both sides<\/strong> : you probably lose detail in the shadows and in the whites;<\/li><li><strong>A spread-out curve without being squashed at the ends<\/strong> : the exposure is often more balanced.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The key point is the word &#8221; <strong>stuck<\/strong> .&#8221; If the information is &#8220;crashed&#8221; against an edge, that&#8217;s where you need to pay attention. When the histogram clearly touches the right edge, there&#8217;s a good chance that some very bright areas are beyond recovery. The image is generally too dark<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The curve is compressed to the left, and your subject lacks readability.
