A month ago, I received the Antigravity A1 at home. A drone<\/a> unlike any other\u2026 and that\u2019s an understatement. Since then, I’ve taken it everywhere: cliffs, forests, beach, roads, family outings\u2026 and even just behind my house to \u201csteal 10 minutes\u201d (which often turn into 40 minutes\u2026 you know). <\/p>\n\n

After 30 days of actual use, I can finally tell you clearly what’s great, what’s less great, and most importantly , who this 360\u00b0 drone is really for<\/strong> .<\/p>\n\n

Spoiler alert: I understand why Insta360<\/a> created a separate brand for himself.<\/p>\n\n

\u2b50 First impressions: a tiny drone\u2026 and yet completely different<\/h2>\n\n

When you take the A1 out of its box, the first reaction is: \u201cOK, how can something so small do so much?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

It weighs less than 249g, which puts it just below the regulatory limit in most countries. But above all, its unique design, with one lens at the top and one at the bottom<\/strong> , means that in flight\u2026 it disappears<\/strong> . Completely. A truly invisible drone. <\/p>\n\n

The setup is simple: activate the batteries, do a small update via the app, connect the Vision glasses\u2026 and in 10 minutes you can fly. Frankly, it’s simpler than a lot of classic drones.<\/p>\n\n

\u2b50 What I really loved during these 30 days<\/h2>\n\n

1. Total immersion: Vision glasses are insane!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

As soon as you put them on, you feel like you \u201cbecome\u201d the drone. You don’t have a fixed view like on FPV drones. You can turn your head in all directions<\/strong> , look up, down, behind, and the video follows naturally.<\/p>\n\n

You explore, you search, you observe. Honestly, this is the first time a drone has given me this feeling.<\/p>\n\n

And that changes everything. Even just for the pleasure of flying. <\/p>\n\n

2. FreeMotion mode: even someone who has never flown can fly<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

That’s THE thing that blew me away.<\/p>\n\n

You point the controller like a laser\u2026 and the A1 goes. No complicated joystick combinations, no stress, no \u201cI\u2019m afraid I\u2019ll crash it\u201d.<\/p>\n\n

I had my wife, some friends, and even someone who had never touched a drone test it. Result: everyone was flying after 10 seconds<\/strong> .<\/p>\n\n

It’s instinctive, natural, fun. And if you want something more classic, you can activate the traditional FPV mode.<\/p>\n\n

3. The concept \u201cI fly first, I frame later\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

That’s the magic of 360\u00b0.<\/p>\n\n

You fly without thinking about the angle. You enjoy it. And later, in the app or in Antigravity Studio on PC\/Mac, you can crop it as you wish: <\/p>\n\n
